Hey, I’m Nikki.
Writer & Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) , MACP
I work with women who’ve spent years being who they thought they had to be — and are now ready to find their way back to themselves.

About
My Practice
From a young age, women are taught to care for others — praised for being nice, agreeable, selfless — but rarely shown how to turn that same care inward.
We learn to seek approval, demonstrate our worth, and prioritize others’ needs over our own.
In response, we adapt by over-functioning, over-giving, pushing through our pain, and silencing the parts of us that feel too tender, too angry, too much.
While these strategies help us survive, they often leave us feeling alone inside our lives — unsure of who we really are.
We carry this weight while quietly aching for something we can’t always name — a return to the selves we’ve had to leave behind to feel safe and loved.
It’s at this threshold that many women arrive at therapy.
For some, it’s new motherhood that cracks things open. For others, it’s the growing tension of their 30s or 40s — a sense that it’s time to stop asking for permission and begin anchoring into themselves. And for those in midlife, it’s often a longing for peace, simplicity, and the freedom to let go of what no longer fits, without apology.
The women I work with are often thoughtful, self-aware, but craving something more soulful than coping. Most are high functioning on the outside, but tired of holding it all together. Tired of performing. Tired of the pressure. Ready to meet themselves with greater compassion and curiosity.
My practice is grounded in narrative therapy and parts work (informed by Internal Family Systems). This means we explore your inner world as a system of parts — each with its own story, role, and reason for being. The perfectionist. The fixer. The people pleaser. The overthinker. Together, we’ll gradually get to know these protective parts, and re-meet the younger, more vulnerable parts they’ve been working so hard to keep safe.
As trust builds within your system, you’ll begin to connect more often with your core Self — the calm, grounded, wise inner presence that’s always been there, just beneath the noise.
My style is warm, relational, and conversational. I offer emotional attunement and occasional humour to help you learn practical ways to support your inner parts, respond to triggers with kindness, and create more ease in your everyday life.
Regardless of what season of life you’re in, I believe that therapy is about returning home to yourself. It’s about remembering who you are and learning to show up for all the previous versions of her in ways she’s always needed and deserved.
